It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went nearly four years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the record chasers, are all that remain for a team that has won it all.

That it took as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

Many contend the reasoning behind final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was far harder to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings was preceded by six games in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've been watching me in training, it was a challenging time because it appeared I lacked timing whatsoever," said Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit take over and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has always been her key asset - and a priceless quality in succeeding famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

"The possibility to play and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

Once she was out the team required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to do that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

That comment will be the final thing rival teams at this tournament should hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this triumph succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.
